Keya is the birthplace Of the safari where there is a world-class destination, recommended for both experienced safari-goers and those booking a first-time safari. The tireless Masai Mara reserve offers many big cat encounters and is the setting for the annual wildebeest and zebra migration. Plam-lined beaches offer a perfect place to relax after a thrilling safari.
Kenya is one of Africa`s most excellent safari destinations. Buffalos, elephants, and giraffes are common throughout, and hippos and crocodiles frequent in the big rivers. Big cats are many as well. Rhino, although scarce in the Masi Mara, is common on the Laikipia plateau, It is of course the wildebeest and zebra who put on a show here, with the incredible yearly migration.
Activities in most of Kenya`s parks and reserves are restricted to guided and self-guided game drives, for birding and wildlife to see. A boat safari will be possible in Lake Lake Nakuru National Park. In the privet or community conservancies of the Laikipia Plateau, around the Masi Mara and other where, other possible activities include walking safaris, night game drives, community visits, and, in Laikipia, horseback riding.
Because of its equatorial location, Kenya has a wet and dry season, rather than summer and winter. The wetter months(November to May) are characterized by very warm temperatures around 86oF/30oC, with stick humid conditions down along the coast. The drier months June to October have cold nights and mornings, and fairly pleasant afternoons. For every 1,000m/1,000ft the higher you go the cooler it becomes.
The Dry season June to October is the to see wildlife. This is when the bush thins out, making animals more visible as they go to the nearest waterhole. This is also when the wildebeest migrate between July or Agust and October. The Wet season from November to May has interesting birding as migratory species arrive, fantastically green landscapes, lots to newborn animals, and cheap low-season rates
