The goal of this Tanzanian safari was to spot the fabled Big Five! Our most distinctive safari is our 7-day Big Five safari in Tanzania, which offers you the highest chance of seeing some of Africa’s most famous creatures. You will pass through Ngorongoro Crater, the eighth wonder of the world, and the renowned Serengeti National Park while hunting lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and cape buffalo. Large herds of zebra and wildebeest, the magnificent giraffe, wallowing hippopotamus, lean cheetahs, opportunistic hyenas, lively monkeys, and much more may be seen along the journey.
You will be greeted and taken to Moshi or Arusha upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) so that you can recuperate from your travels and, with any chance, see the magnificent Kilimanjaro rising from the clouds over the town.
You will start your four-hour trip this morning from Arusha to the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most well-known game parks. During the migration, millions of wildebeest call this place home, and lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and several other small predators can be seen roaming the vast, level plains. Experience sleeping in the middle of the Serengeti and go on a game drive en way to your camp. The following days will be spent searching for the BIG 5, visiting the vast plains of the Serengeti, and witnessing the big wildebeest migration.
Sleeping in the Serengeti
Finding cats in the Serengeti before they flee from the scorching sun during the day requires an early start. Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will spend the night, after a few hours of game viewing. The world’s largest caldera that is both unbroken and unflooded is Ngorongoro. The Ngorongoro Crater is an amazing natural phenomenon, measuring over 20 kilometers across and 600 meters deep.
Spend the night at Ngorongoro
You will drop into the Ngorongoro Crater this morning, which is a fantastic wildlife sanctuary. The distinctive feature of Ngorongoro is that practically all of the wildlife is found inside the crater walls, making it easy to locate game. Specifically, rhinos can be frequently spotted, along with lion prides and other predators like cheetahs. Savor your midday meal by the hippo pond. You will drive back to Arusha after lunch, which should take around two hours.
