Safari Itinerary
We drove to the northern border of Kenya this morning. With its dry savannahs irrigated by the picturesque Uaso Nyiro River, Samburu is untamed and untamed yet incredibly beautiful.
Along with being one of Kenya’s most protected places, it is home to species that are only found north of the equator, such as Beisa oryxes, Grevy’s zebras, and reticulated giraffes. We also like Samburu Intrepids Camp, our opulent accommodation located on the riverbanks under the shade of acacia trees.
DAY TWO AND THREE: FULL GAME DRIVES IN SAMBRU
With a cup of steaming coffee in hand, we begin our day in the woods by looking out over the river from the balcony of our tent as the sun breaks in golden bands. We set out to hunt the lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants that flourish in the acacia trees and grasslands of the reserve before the dew has dried off the grass.
Thus, we alternate between exploring the wilderness and lounging in our comfortable camp throughout the day.
DAY FOUR: SAMBURU TO LAKE Nakurud
Today, we visit the Great Rift Valley’s unique Lake Nakuru National Park. An interesting game run is scheduled for the afternoon following lunch. Even the most hesitant will become devoted to this park because of the abundance of game and the amazing bird-watching.
Beautiful flocks of lesser and greater flamingos can be found throughout the park, transforming the lakeshores into a gorgeous pink expanse. More than 400 bird species, including White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets, and Marabou Storks, can be found here. The bird life is well-known throughout the world. Additionally, it is among the few locations in Africa where one may witness the endangered Rothschild giraffe and white rhino.
DAY FIVE: LAKE NAKURU TO MASAI MARA
We travel to the Masai Mara National Reserve this morning via the breathtaking Great Rift Valley. The Big Five—the lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino—live in this large reserve, which is a part of the massive Serengeti grasslands, which are well-known for their stunning big wildebeest migration. Before leaving for the afternoon game run, have lunch at our lodge and unwind.
One of the world’s best wilderness areas is the Mara Game Reserve. Big mammals are diverse and visible. Masai Giraffes, Buffalo, Eland, and thousands of plain game, including Thomson’s and Grant Gazelles, Impala, Zebra, and Topi, call the park home.
DAY SIX AND SEVEN: FULL DAY GAE DRIVES IN MASAI MARA
During long game runs today, the hunt for huge predators and possibly even cubs continues. Along with the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding behind acacia boughs, the plains are home to vast herds of grazing anima
DAY EIGHT: FLY TO ABOSELI NATIONAL PARK
We take a car to Amboseli National Park after breakfast. Before travelling by road to Amboseli National Park, we stop for lunch in Nairobi. The park is well-known for its large herds of elephants and its view of Africa’s tallest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro.
You will have time to unwind or take use of the sun-heated pool after lunch before heading out for another game drive this afternoon. Before dinner is served, we will return in time for a cocktail or a warm shower.
We also have the option to visit a Masai community during our stay to observe the singing and dancing that are a part of their holy rites and everyday life. It is moving to have a look into their houses and societal structures.
DAY NINE AND TEN: FULL DAY GAME DRIVES IN AMBOSELI
On this day, two game drives are planned. You can look for pride of lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, zebras, and wildebeests in the open, level plains.
Elephants might be captured in the wetlands while they are taking mud baths. The variety and abundance of bird species is remarkable. Visit a nearby Masai village to learn more about African culture.
DAY ELEVEN: AMBOSELI TO NAIROBI
Our safari in Kenya will come to an end on the final day when we drive back to Nairobi.
Before taking a flight home, check in at the Airport Hotel for a cool afternoon.
